wistfulbreaths: I am absolutely awesome. Agree or die. (Absolutely Awesome)
[personal profile] wistfulbreaths
Well today proved to be hardly eventful. I have to tell myself that when I think it is a good idea to call out of work in the morning to go with that thought. I don't in the least bit feel guilty as three others felt the exact way I did, but unlike me executed their plan flawlessly. I fail. And not just in a sad way, but in a pathetic, you didn't have the balls to do what needed to be done way. My only salvation is knowing that if I had called out, I would have felt exactly as I did this morning tomorrow and well that's a bit counter productive, no?

I was a bit angry to discover an invoice from our prior apartment in the mail today after we got home. Apparently they are saying we owe them $402.00 USD. Now I wasn't a fool in thinking that we were going to receive our deposit back, because one, the cats tore the shit out of the carpet there, and two we half assed cleaned it when we moved out-- but really $402!? After reviewing the invoice it appears they charged us twice for carpet damage in the same rooms. No, I am not kidding, that is what the invoices read, though the itemized list they give us has one charge as carpet cleaning and the other as carpet replacement, pet damage. If you replaced the carpet would there be any need to clean it?! Yeah that is exactly what I thought. Oh and the kicker? They charged us to paint the walls. The walls which we did not put a SINGLE item on! Hello, how the fuck can you justify 6hrs of painting the walls when there wasn't a single item on them. Touch ups? Yeah, that makes sense, but painting? Um, not necessary, at all. The hubby was also pissed to find that they charged us $95 for a turn over cleaning which they CANNOT charge if they plan on doing it anyway. So least to say, he's going to have a fun time dealing with the charges, as my solution was just to pay the amount because for me it wasn't worth the headache. /shrugs

Other then that minor incident, the day was pretty mellow. I am however working on a photography community called [community profile] shutterbugs , as I had noticed that DW didn't really have them. I am in the process of establishing rules and such for the community and getting the tags set up, after which I will try and pimp the shit out of it to gain more members. Oh also be on the look out for a David Cook ([community profile] davidcookofficial) community, because I noticed DW is lacking that as well. /pout

Eleven Things I Assume You Know About Me
1. I am a fan. This journal while still considered personal will contain fandom moments in which I squee, faint, or rant about particular shows, people, etc. I do not write fanfic (though I have been considering) so if you're expecting such posts, I am advising you now you will be disappointed.

2. I am a woman. I will probably and unintentionally divulge intimate details that the majority will not want to know, but be aware that it is unintentional. I am a writer so when I get started, the words kind of explode off my fingers and I find that sometimes I write things without thought as to how they may make my readers feel. I do, however, try and filter most of that stuff to those who care to read and can stomach it, but be aware some posts may slip through the cracks.

3. I am multi-racial. I am half Filipino and half African American. I do not appreciate stereotypes mostly because most of them, if not all do not apply to me. For you to assume such would only make you look like an ass so why not save us both headaches and don't classify me under the stereotypes commonly known for the Filipino and African American culture.

4. I am married. I only mention this because it will come up so rather then confuse those who actually read my journal, I figure I would blurt it out unnecessarily. I also assume that you know my husband's name.  I commonly refer to him in public entries as Hubby or Babykins. Do not be alarmed by the pet names-- again they tend to explode from my fingertips unexpectedly, usually when I am in a particularly feminine1 mood.

5. I am in an interracial marriage. My husband is white and I am Filipino/African American. It's not a huge deal to me as most of my relationships prior to my marriage were interracial ones, but it's one of those things were people assume2 what isn't true. So if I happen to post images of a white man, do not be alarmed.

6. I have a mouth worse than a sailor. Or some say. I tend to cuss a lot, especially when I am highly agitated and annoyed. It is a form of expression for me and not something that is meant to offend anyone. If this bothers you then it's best that you unsubscribe to me as this is not something that will stop ever.

7. I pick up new projects/tasks like a prostitute picks up guys. Seriously. I am constantly adding to my large list of things to do because I honestly think I am silghtly ADD, as nothing can keep me pre-occupied for that long. It's bad and my resume is quite colorful because of this annoying habit (yes it annoys me) but at least I have skills3 to show for it.

8. Expect to read about my board 8es. There's no getting by it, so I advised you not to try. It's my second home and currently just starting, but I think it has a lot of potential, given the concept behind it and the plans I have for it. Chances are you will be encouraged to join more often than not, but feel free to ignore me or I don't know join? ;)

9. I am a cat owner and my cats also happen to be my kids. I have 5 of them. Yes, 5 (Weasel, Weezer, Muskrat, Squishy, and Yoshi)-- and you will hear about them-- A LOT. It's unavoidable. They tend to do cute things and things that drive me nuts so expect to read about them both in high regard and in the regard where I want to drop them from an airplane and see if they survive. Like I said, they're like my kids. *grins*

10. I am also a dog owner. Yes, I own a dog too. He is a new addition, but he's already very loved and already part of the family. We are still in the process of potty training him, so expect the random rant about accidents or the post (hopefully) of utter joy stating he's been housebroken. His name is Benji and he will be mentioned, A LOT.

11. I am 23 years old. Not that it really matters and not like you can't find my birthday on my profile, but I figured I should state it for those of you who are confused or unsure. I tend to come across older than I am though I don't look it, but I would like to know if anyone under 18 is reading my journal so I can be sure to exclude such individuals off some of my filters that are more then inappropriate.

1. This is not meant to offend anyone, but for most who know me, know I am not particularly emotional and that really refers to the moments when I do happen to display outward emotion.

2. Refer to #3 about stereotypes.

3. I've picked up several types of skills, ranging from bookbinding, MySQL database usage, scrapbooking, etc. The list goes on and on. Next on my list is making jewelry. Remember that slight ADD I mentioned? =P
